IMPHAL: In a mishap, 14 people got injured when a mini-truck (Cruiser) fell into a gorge at Awangkhul in Tamenglong district along Imphal-Silchar road NH-37 in the wee hours of Thursday. Reports said the mini-truck bearing registration number MN-01-S-0994 was heading for Imphal from Jiribam (border town at Manipur-Assam border) carrying 14 people including the driver. On reach near Awangkhul, which is located some 50 km west of Imphal, the truck fell into the gorge at around 2 am today injuring all of them. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals in Imphal, the reports said. The reason for the accident could not be ascertained till the filing of the report.
