Dimapur, September 6 (MExN): The 14 Naga Tribal Hoho on Sunday said that their sole purpose is “to protect the right of its people and at the same time to work for the unity of all the Naga National Political parties so as to expedite early solution, which is honourable and acceptable to all.”
They stated that the tribal hohos under Nagaland had been in different platforms, however because of the need of the hour, the apex tribes had agreed to come together to facilitate the Naga Peace process.
The 14 tribes of Nagaland is not a part of Naga Hoho, but it has different apex organisations namely- ENPO, CNTC and Tenyimi, they clarified.
“The 14 tribal hoho are the stake holder of Nagas of Nagaland” and the therefore, the question of sidelining particular groups does not arise, they added.
They also said that, quoting the 14 tribes for individual organisation “is just a fabricating one.”
In this regard, they requested all the other media cells to take confirmation from the 14 Naga Tribal Hoho media cell (7005221345/9862070574) in case of any publication quoting 14 Naga tribes from any other source.
“It is time for the civil societies to discuss and create a conducive atmosphere with full understanding as one family to pave the way for Naga solution,” as the GOI has decided to conclude peace talks with the NSCN (IM) and NNPG by September 2020, the 14 Naga Tribal Hoho said.
