Kohima, September 16 (MExN): Hindi Pakhwara was observed at 15 BRTF from September 1 to 14. During the fortnight, five major competitions were conducted, both for Hindi speaking personnel and non Hindi speaking personnel posted with 15 BRTF. The event was formally inaugurated by Col SP Yadava, Commander, 15 BRTF on September 1, who in his inaugural address motivated the unit personnel to come forward in celebrating the fortnight with right earnest and sincerity.
Cash awards were distributed to winners of the competitions organised for Hindi speech, Hindi essay, Hindi noting and drafting and Hindi quiz during the closing ceremony organised on September 15.
A press release stated that Commander, 15 BRTF highlighted the spectacular performance of the Task Force in 2015. He pointed out that maximum awards and overall prize was awarded to the unit by the Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Kohima and stressed upon the need to participate once again in the competitions to be organised by TOLIC, Kohima in the current year.
