The 15th Southern Angami-II Assembly Constituency BJP Mandal under the initiative of the local MLA and Advisor for Prisons and Printing & Stationery, Kropol Vitsu conducted a trekking cum cleanliness drive to Dzükou valley on May 18.
In a brief address, Kohima District BJP Secretary Vipiho Rhetso said that “Dzükou valley is a God gifted picturesque land for the people of Southern Angami and the Nagas in general.”
In this, he said that as concerned citizens of the area, the BJP 15th Southern Angami-II initiated the trekking cum cleanliness drive to create awareness on healthy living and also to preserve and conserve the rich biodiversity.
Over a hundred party leaders and functionaries along with Advisor Vitsu’s wife joined in picking the wastes to and fro the route to the magnificent valley.
Earlier, the 15-SA-II BJP mandal President Pusato Zecho chaired the kick-off programme at Thanaki, Viswema while Kehothul Hibo offered prayers.
