Dimapur, November 27 (MExN): Fifteenth Finance Commission (FCC) led by the Chairman Nand Kishore Singh and members and other officials landed at Dimapur Airport Tuesday afternoon November 27.
On arrival of the FCC team at Dimapur Airport, Nagaland Minister for Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu, Minister Soil and Water conservation, Women and Child Development, Kashiho Sangtam, Commissioner Nagaland, M. Patton, Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS and Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Limasunep Jamir, IPS received and felicitated them. After a brief rest in the VIP lounge, Dimapur Airport the team accompanied by the two Nagaland Ministers left for Kohima.
The 15th FC entourage include Nand Kishore Singh, Chairman 15th FC, Dr. Anoop Singh, Member 15th FC, Arvind Metha, Member Secretary 15th FC, Mukhmeet S. Bhatia, Jt. Secretary, Ravi Kota, Jt. Secretary, Antony Cyriac, Economic Advisor, Bharat Bhusan Garg, Director and OSD to Chairman 15th FC, Shikha Dahiya, Ritesh Kumar, Salam S. Singh, Pankaj Gera, Aniket, Prem Kumar and Gita Metha.
At Kohima, on their arrival at the Helipad, the Chairman accompanied by Secretary, Members and other officials of FC-XV were received by the State Government Team which included Deputy Chief Minister, Home, Y. Patton; Minister for Agriculture, G. Kaito Aye; Minister for Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu; Chief Secretary, Binchilo Thong; Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Temjen Toy; Director General of Police, T. John Longkumer; Commissioner & Secretary H&FW, Himato Zhimomi; Secretary Finance, Y. Kikheto Sema; Deputy Commissioner Kohima; Superintendent of Police Kohima and other Liaison, Security and State Protocol Officers.
The team visited World War II cemetery and paid homage at the War memorial, Kohima. After laying wreathe at the War memorial, the Chairman noted that he was honoured to visit the Kohima War Cemetery to be able to pay his respects for their supreme sacrifices.
