Officials and others during the inauguration of Sub Centre Xuvihe new building on June 2.
Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): Sub Centre Xuvihe new building was inaugurated by Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur Dr T Temsu Lkr in the presence of Thungchanbemo Tungoe, Chief Executive Officer, DMC Dimapur on June 2.
The newly inaugurated Sub Centre building was constructed under the 15th Finance Commission, stated a press release received here.
In his speech, Dr Temsu expressed gratitude to Urban Development, DMC and Xuvihe Council members for their roles in making the Sub-Centre building a reality. He stated that Sub-Centre will receive more fund under the 16th Finance Commission for procuring essential items for the health centre upkeep.
Thungchanbemo also shared that the building was constructed under 15th Finance Commission meant just for repair and renovation of the Sub Centre.
He clarified that as the Sub Centre was functioning temporarily in a private commercial space and the need for a new building, designated as a health centre was more, the new SC building with two rooms and toilets was constructed. He appreciated the Xuvihe Council members for their foresight and utilizing the fund sensibly where it was needed the most.
The programme was chaired by Bokato Wotsa, Chairman Xuvihe Council and in his closing remark stated that the new Sub Centre building was a long awaited dream and requested the CMO to provide essential amenities required for the functioning of the sub centre. Earlier in the programme, the dedication prayer was said by Pastor Sekento, Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church, and the closing prayer was said by Ilhovi Wotsa, Banker, Xuvihe Council.
Other officials present were Dr Benchilo Ngullie, DTO Dimapur, Dr Rongsennungla, DPO UIP/RCH, Ikato Zhimomi, GB Xuvihe, Honito Zhimomi, Chairman, Xuvihe Health Committee, staffs under CMO Dimapur and Xuvihe SC, and members of Xuvihe Council.
