NAHARLAGUN, OCTOBER 21 (MExN): A team of 16 players from Nagaland state are in Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh to participate in the 21st North-East Fide Rating Chess Championship which began from Saturday, a press note from the Nagaland Chess Association informed. 

Altogether, 352 players from the eight states of the North-East are participating in the championship which is recognized by the All India Chess Federation with the venue at Capital Complex, Naharlagun Dree Ground. 

The 21st North East Fide Rating Chess Championship 2023 is a 9-round Swiss tournament. The time control is 90 minutes for the entire game with an increment of 30 seconds from move 1. The championship will provide an opportunity to young & talented chess lovers to play with top players of North-East states.
