Kohima, January 14 (MExN): A recruitment rally will be held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima from January 16 to 19 for enrolment of male candidates into the 164 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home and Hearth) NAGA. It is for the residents of Peren and Kohima districts only. There are thirty six vacancies for Soldier General Duty, one vacancy for House Keeper and one vacancy for Clerk (Staff Duty).
The eligibility conditions for various categories are as follows: For Soldier Clerk General Duties (Clk GD)) category, only candidates from 18 to 42 yrs of age ,i.e. born not before January 16, 1972 and not after January 16, 1996 (Both Days Inclusive) and who have passed 10+2/ Intermediate Exam in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each core subject. For Soldier General Duty (GD) and House Keeper category, those who have passed minimum 8th class, and between 18 and 42 years of age, i.e. born not before January 16, 1972 and not after January 16, 1996 (Both Days Inclusive) are eligible.
The screening of candidates will commence from 06:00 AM on January 16, 2014. The candidates are advised to report at the rally site at 6 A.M strictly as per the schedule of recruitment rally. The schedule of screening of the candidates is as follows: On January 16, 2014 at 0600 hrs onwards for candidates from Peren Sadar and Kohima, New Reserve, Lerie, New Minister Hill, AG Colony, PotterLane, Chandmari, PWD, Agri Colony, Officer Colony. On January 17, 2014 at 0600 hrs onwards, for candidates from Peren, Jalukie Sub Div and Kohima, Raj Bhavan, Para Medical, Midland, New Market, Hospital Colony, Daklane, Naga Bazar, Kitsubozuo, Mission Compound. On January 18, 2014 at 0600 hrs onwards, for candidates from Peren, Tening Sub Div and Kohima, Cherry land, Tinpati, Sepfuzuo, Bayavii, Kezikie, High School Colony and remaining wards of Kohima district. Written exam will be conducted on January 19, 2014.
