167 booked for violating CrPC 144

Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): Dimapur Police on Tuesday booked a total of 167 individuals for violation of prohibitory orders and challaned 135 vehicles for violation of Motor Vehicles Act during the same enforcement. This was informed in a press release from Addl. Deputy Commissioner of Police/PRO, Dimapur.

It must mentioned here that prohibitory orders under CrPC section 144 will come into effect in Dimapur district beginning 6:00 am, March 24.

The order, promulgated by the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, will prohibit assembly of more than 5 people and movement of non-essential vehicles.
