
Kohima, October 17 (MExN): A total of 17 technical officials of Nagaland Athletics have cleared the State Technical Official (STO) Examination while two topped the national ranking.
Mhonsao Ngullie and Purna Konyak topped the National Federation STO Examination in Rank 1, informed a press release from the Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA).
The STO examinations were conducted by Athletic Federation India from September 22-24 in 6 different locations across India and Nagaland was selected as the examination centre for North-East states. The results were declared on October 16.
It is a proud and historic moment for state and athletics community and the Association also congratulates all the successful Technical Officials from Nagaland and across India, informed a press release from the NAA.
The NAA also extend is appreciation to the Athletic Federation of India and the Nagaland Olympic Association for their continuous support and guidance in making the examination successful. As per the release, the Association is putting in all efforts to promote and uplift its technical officials, coaches and athletes
Further informing that more of such course for officials and coaches will be conducted in the coming days, it encouraged all interested person and sports lover to be part of it.
Meanwhile, the NAA informed that the Nagaland Senior Open Athletics Championships 2023 is scheduled from November 16-17 at the Indira Gandhi Stadiums, Kohima,
Interested athletes may register themselves for the championship, it added.
