Dimapur, September 30, (MExN): The 173 Battalion, CRPF Airfield Dimapur conducted a Civic Action Programme under the aegis of Rajesh Kumar, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Manipur & Nagaland Sector on September 29, where Solar Street Light was distributed by Sarbjit Singh, Dy. Inspector General, CRPF in Razaphe Hau Village, Dimapur.
A press release from Commandant 173 Battalion, CRPF stated that the chief guest Sarbjit Singh, DIGP (Ops) Kohima spoke on the importance of relationship between the security forces and the local population and emphasized that with such programme the forces were trying to uplift the people and maintain cordial relationship with the rest of the country.
The programme was also attended by Joseph Keishing, Commandant, 173 Battalion along with prominent people of the areas including media, NGOs.
