The 17th edition of the Music Awards of Nagaland has been officially rescheduled to December 17, 2025. The decision was announced during a press conference held by the organizing committee at Nagaland Coffee Shop in Dimapur on November 26.
Addressing the conference, the president of the Music Awards of Nagaland, Imli Lee, said that the 17th edition of Music Awards of Nagaland, which was earlier scheduled to be held on November 29, had to be rescheduled to December 17 as most of the artists were engaged in preparations for the Hornbill Festival 2025.
The proprietor of Musik-A Alobo Naga informed that the association has received more than 200 entries for this year’s edition, consisting of top artists of Nagaland. Naga mentioned that the entries for the main category were already judged by Asalie Peseyie, CEO Infinity Records, Dr Chenjei Konyak, Toxic Beats and Kekhrie Ringa, the Boho singer.
He also added that Bendang Walling, Director of Hills Theater Nagaland and Akash Aditya Lama, Screen Writer and Filmmaker) will judge the “best music video” award.
Naga mentioned that an online voting for “Viewers’ Choice Award” has been initiated for the first time, and informed that the voting will be open till November 30.
He appealed to the fans and supporters of artists to visit the www.musicawardsofnagaland.in to vote for their favorite artists.
He informed that the main categories for this year’s awards included Rock, Gospel, Hip-Hop, R&B, and open category, Pop, Regional, Folk Fusion and Song of the Year.
Likewise, he added that Best Music Video, Best Producer, Best Sound Engineer, Best Upcoming Artist or Band, Best Lyricist and Songwriter make up the subcategories of this year’s award.
He also announced that there will be an award of the “Lifetime Achievement Awards.” The 17th edition of the Music Award of Nagaland will be held at Town Hall, Dimapur on December 17 starting from 5 PM onwards.
The Music Awards of Nagaland is managed by Native Trax and Musik-A.
