17TH NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy

Forest Colony, Nagabazar, Tyrants, Country Boys into 2nd round   Our Correspondent Kohima | September 28   The 17th NSF Martyrs' Memorial Trophy 2016 (Lt. Kekuojalie Sachii & Lt. Vikhozo Yhoshii) witnessed a goal fest on Wednesday with 24 goals being scored in the four matches held here at the Kohima Local Ground.   Forest Colony, Nagabazar Youth Organisation, Tyrants Football Club, and Country Boys Peren, all moved into the second round after registering wins in their respective matches.   Playing the first match of the day, Forest Colony beat Haworthia FC 3-1. D. Paul Gangmei scored twice for Forest Colony in the 17th and 57th minute, Gaidun added the third in the 70th minute. Bokito Yeptho scored the lone goal for Howarthia FC in 67th minute. Three players – Khamchui and Justin Kamei of Forest Colony and Ellis Konyak of Haworthia FC – received yellow cards during the match.   In the second match, Nagabazar Youth Organisation humiliated XII Tribes United FC 9-0, with Rajulhoulie scoring six goals to claim the third and fourth hat-trick of the tournament. Atho opened the floodgates in the 15th minute, before Rajulhoulie followed with four goals in 33rd, 35th, 41st and 43rd minutes. He added two more in the 56th and 69th minutes of play. Khekito netted the sixth in 50th minute while the seventh was scored by Medovituo in 57th minute. With the six goals, Rajulhoulie is the leading scorer so far.   In the third match, Tyrants FC Khuzama defeated Peraciezie Royals 5-3.   Tyrants opened their account through Vilhouvotuo Sale in the 7th minute and went on to double the margin within the next two minutes. Kedahulo pulled one back for Peraciezie Royals in the 25th minute. However, Vilhouvoto scored again in the 33rd minute to claim the fourth hat-trick of the tournament and also maintain the two goal lead. He scored his fourth goal in the 43rd minute before Kapzie Konyak netted one more for the Tyrants in the 52nd minute. For Peraciezie, Shalo Kemp scored two goals in the 46th and 65th minute.   Khrievi Thaprü of Tyrants and Lanu of Peraciezie were cautioned in 8th and 39th minutes of play.   In the last match of the day, Country Boys Peren blanked Striking X, Zhadima 3-0.   Kavi, Kisan and Mansak scored the goals in 28th, 44th and 60th minute of play.   Mezü and Seyiekhrielie of Striking X were penalised with yellow card each in the 21st and 62nd minute of play while Kisan and Kavi of Country Boys were cautioned in the 65th and 68th minutes.   September 29 Matches   1st Match: Vanguard FC vs Billy Graham FC @ 9:30 am   2nd Match: Red Hawks FC Dihoma vs Kuki United FC @ 11: 00 am   3rd Match: Senapati FC vs Upper Bayavu YO @ 12:30 pm   4th Match: Lamkang SC vs Forerunners FC 4th NAP @ 2:00 pm
