Nagaland Police (Red) came from behind to comprehensively beat Nagaland Police (Blue) 4-1 in the first semifinal of the ongoing 17th NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy on Wednesday at the Kohima Local Ground.
Nagaland Police (Blue) had taken the lead through Imsumanen in the 26th minute.

Undeterred, the red team fought back and scored two quick goals in quick succession – Kekhrie and Aton scoring a goal apiece within a minute’s span to lead the comeback.
The Nagaland Police (Red) added two more goals towards the end of match – again in quick succession. Lima Kumzuk netting both goals in the 79th and 80th minute to complete the drubbing and book a place in the final.
Zhavilie of Nagaland Police (Blue) and Kedithungbo of Nagaland Police (Red) were cautioned with yellow cards.
Earlier, Kohima Deputy Commissioner Rovilatuo Mor acted as the match patron.
An exhibition match between Angami Students Union (ASU) senior leaders and Kohima Bar Association will take place on October 20 at 10:00 am.
