NU Kohima Campus, Ziekezou SC, Vizheto FC, Nagaland Police (Blue) today registered win on day nine of the ongoing 17th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy here at the Kohima Local Ground.
In the first math of the day, NU Kohima Campus beat Dahou United by 2-0 to move on in the tournament’s 3rd round. Keyiculeung double strike in the 25th minute and 70th (injury time) minute guide his team to victory.
In the second match, Ziekezou SC beat Pfosemi FC via tiebreaker 4-2 after a 2-2 deadlock in the stipulated 70 minutes of play.
In the third match, P. Vizheto FC trounced Tsosinyu FC 5-0.
A.Lalrintluanga of Vizheto FC became the 7th hat trick holder of the tournament. He scored in the 18th, 34th and 66th minute. Kaqhevi(15) and Agangpu (12) added to the scoreboard in the 27th and 35th minute.
In the last match of the day, Nagaland Police (Blue) blanked PK United FC Viswema 5-0. Nagaland Police (Blue) took an early lead when Ruokozhazo Keyho scored in the 2nd minute of play. Muluvotuo Rhakho and Insumanen Jamir increased the score tally with a goal each. Lamphong Aomeshu who added two more in the 28th and 60th minute sealed the match.
Meanwhile, there will be no match on October 5 on account of AYO observance of "A moment of solidarity to enable our environment." To commemorate the day, the organizing committee of the tournament and ASU have called for a social work in the Local Ground vicinity from 10:00 AM onwards.
