Kohima, January 29 (MExN): The 17th Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kohima was organised at KVK Office conference hall on January 29.
The meeting was chaired by Burwati, Longkumer, Joint Director of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland. Dr Ruokuovilie Mezhatsu, Principal Scientist & Head highlighted SAC meeting and mandated activities of KVK. The ADC Tseminyu, Kikumsungla Jamir in her address encouraged the line departments and farmers to work hand in hand, stated a press release received here.
Addressing the meeting, Viwheto Thorie, Deputy Director of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland & KVK Nodal Officer emphasised the essence of KVK in the district, its purpose to serve the rural mass and farming community for the upliftment through the perspective of agriculture and allied discipline.
The detailed Annual Progress Report (APR) of KVK Kohima for the financial year 2024-25 and the Annual Action Plan (AAP) of KVK Kohima for the financial year 2025-26 was presented by the concerned discipline respectively. After thorough discussion and deliberation the house unanimously approved the AAP 2025-26. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks from Dr Shisarenla Aier, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture).
The meeting was attended by various Districts Officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Land Resource and Veterinary Service & Animal Husbandry, Sericulture and Progressive farmers.
