An 18-member delegation of Coordination Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) left Imphal for New Delhi on Monday to hold talks with Union Home minister Amit Shah.
The delegation went to Delhi after the Union Home minister fixed the appointment with the COCOMI leaders for a talk on unrest created in Manipur triggered by the Naga peace talks. The COCOMI delegation will meet the Union Home minister on Monday at 10 pm.
Talking to reporters at the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal before boarding the flight, COCOMI coordinator, Sunil Karam said that reviewing the boycott call given to the already commenced Manipur Sangai Festival will be depended on the outcome to the proposed talks with the Union Home minister. He also said that there is no change in the stand of the COCOMI on its demands and the revision of the stand will be depended on the outcome of the talks with the Union Home minister.
