
Kohima, January 27 (MExN): The 18th Dzülekemia Teisozha (Dzüleke Village Day) was held on January 25 at the village council hall with Nino Iralu, District & Session Judge, Wokha as the special guest.
In her address, she urged the natives of Dzüleke to zealously participate in community development works for the benefit of the village.
Pointing to the rich resources of Dzüleke village, which is also in close proximity with nature, she suggested that each family can adopt certain area to grow flowers, vegetables or to rear domestic animals. She further emphasised that they must learn to save, which will only enable them to cover several of their expenses including medical and education for their children.
As we assimilate modern culture, she further asserted that, “we should not forget our rich cultural practices and be proud of the same.”
Highlights of the programme included prayer by Abino, solo by Vikophrenuo, greetings by Vitsiepialie, Chairman, Dzüleke Village Council, folk song by Saphrü and Megotsolie, male voice by Pelevikho and friends, vote of thanks by Bunyü Sophi while the programme was led by Letso Meyase, Pastor, Dzüleke Baptist Church.
