Kohima, January 25 (MExN): The 18th sports meet of Northern Angami Sports Association Group ‘D’ (NASA-D) was successfully conducted at Botsa village from January 18 – 20 last with Kevise Sogotsu, president, Nagaland Timber Association as chief guest. Kevisilie Rüpreo, chairman, Chiechama Village Council graced valedictory cum Prize distribution ceremony as the guest of honour and gave away prizes to the winners. Meanwhile, the Association has directed its selected members for Northern Angami Sports Association meet 2011 to reach IG Stadium by 10:00 AM on January 26. Result of the various events during three days long meet include; Football (Men): Chaimpion-Botsa, Runner up-Chiechama, Football (women): Champion-Chiechama, Runner up-Botsa, Volleyball (Men): Champion-Seiyha Phesa, Runner up-Tsiemekhuma, Volleyball (Women): Champion-Chiechama, Runner up-Tsiemekhuma.
Chiechama bagged the overall champion title.
Meanwhile, the Association has elected its new office bearers for the tenure 2011-2012; President-Lhousakuolie Metha (Teichüma), Vice President-Dziesengulie Khana (Gariphema), General Secretary-Kechangulie Kense (Botsa), Treasurer-Peteneilhou Rüpreo (Tsiemekhuma), Secretary Wrestling-Pfuzolie Kense (Tuophema), Secretary Games-Vikholie Kire (Gariphema), Secretary Athletes-Khriebu Sokha (Tsiemekhu Basa), Information & Publicity Secretary -Kehouneiu Theünuo (Seiyhama), Property Secretary -Keduobei Rüpreo (Chiechama), Women Coordinators-.Neizovonuo Zumu (Tuophema), Keviseü Kense (Botsa),.Vizotuoü Metha (Seiyha Phesa) and Neisakholie Rüpreo (Chiechama) as advisor.
