19 new cases of COVID-19 were detected in Nagaland on December 14 taking the State’s tally to 11, 728. The newly detected cases included 8 from Mokokchung, 6 from Dimapur and 5 from Kohima.
The State also recorded 56 new recoveries on Monday which included 29 from Kohima and 27 from Dimapur. Nagaland now has 590 active cases and 10,939 people have recovered so far.
Of the active cases in the State, data from the Health Department informed that 551 are asymptomatic, 26 have mild symptoms, 10 have moderate symptoms and are on oxygen, 2 have severe symptoms and are on oxygen. Meanwhile 1 case is in ICU on ventilator.
Traced contacts constitute the most number of cases at 4,713, followed closely by the number of armed forces/security personnel at 4,636. This is followed by returnees constituting 1,820 cases while frontline workers constitute 559 of the cases.
Dimapur continues to lead in have recorded the most number of cases with 6,343, followed by Kohima with 3,636, Mon with 600, Peren with 494, Tuensang with 238, Zunheboto with 142, Mokokchung with 135, Phek with 44, Wokha with 39, Kiphire with 39, and Longleng with 18.
