Kijumetouma Village Students’ Union and Sports Link FC today registered wins in their respective matches at the ongoing 19th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2018 being played here at the Local Ground Kohima. In the first match, Kijumetouma VSU defeated Botsa Students' FC 4-0.
Sikito A. Chishi connected two goals for Kijumetouma VSU while Dziesevilie Sanchu and Neitho-o contributed a goal each. Kijumetouma VSU will now face St. Joseph College Jakhama on October 4.
Meanwhile, Sports Link FC overpowered Tyro FC (Phek) by a solitary goal. The winning goal for Sports Link FC was scored by Thangao Shupao in the 34th minute. Sports Link FC in its second round will clash with Phesama YO on October 5.
