
Our Correspondent Kohima | October 16 Centurion FC Kohima and Senapati FC (Manipur) today entered the semi finals of the ongoing 19th NSF Martyrs' Memorial Trophy 2018 here at Kohima Local Ground.
Centurion FC Kohima became the third team to qualify for the semi-finals after defeating Kohima Eagles 1-0.
The winning goal for Centurion FC was netted by Imlongchaba in the 15th minute.
During the match, Hekato Aye & Rhitso Mero of Kohima Eagles and Nighato Assumi, Rabindra Meitei, Imlongchaba & Olando Yimchunger of Centurion FC were penalised with yellow cards. Playing the last quarter-finals match, Senapati FC booked their tickets for the semi-finals by defeating Saptiqa FC Zunheboto 1-0.
Nanda netted the winning goal for Senapati FC in the 13th minute. Boris of Senapati FC and Aben & Iuto Shohe of Saptiqa FC were shown yellow cards.
Senapati FC (Manipur) will now clash with Centurion FC in the second semi-final match on October 18 at 1:30pm.
Officials of Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) and Kevithuto Sophie, Additional Inspector General of Police (Supply) PHQ, Government of Nagaland graced the first and second match respectively as match patrons.
Meanwhile, the first semi-finals match will be played between Tribal Brothers of D Khel Kohima Village and Meriema Village Youth Organization on October 17 at 1:30pm. M Patton, Nagaland Commissioner will be the match patron.
A conventional exhibition match is also scheduled to take place between the executives of the Angami Students' Union and Naga Students' Federation at 10:00am on October 17. It will be graced by Zekuseto Natso, Advocate, Notary Public, and former vice-president Angami Students' Union as match patron.
