Kohima Eagles FC and Phezhu Boys Club Jotsoma today entered the second round of the 19th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy after registering wins in their respective matches today.
In the first match of the day, Phezhu Boys Club downed Friends United FC one goal to nil. The winning goal for Phezhu Boys Club came through the boot of Namtiiba in the 60th minute.
Phezhu Boys will now clash with Rangers FC Medziphema on October 3.
Kohima Eagles FC blanked Midland Youth Organization 15-0 in the second match of the day. Rhitsho Mero contributed eight goals while Khwetelhi Thopi fetched a hattrick for the team. Noune Medoze, Petevizo Kezieo, Keneinguze Pienyii and Menguzelie Rutsa also netted a goal each for Kohima Eagles.
Kohima Eagles will next take on Riisoma VYSA On October 4.
