DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 24 (MExN): With the theme ‘Oneness on rope for peace,’ the 1st ethnic community Tug of War (Nagaland open) will be organized by the Western Chakhesang Youth Organization in collaboration with the Nagaland Tug of War Association on January 13, 2024 at DDSC Stadium Dimapur. Teams will consist of 8 players with 2 substitutes and 1 coach cum manager. The event will be free weight and free style. A press release from the organizers informed each ethnic community to bring 1 flag measuring 4x6ft size. Cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000 will be awarded to the champion. At present confirmation has been received from 16 teams of Naga tribes along with 18 teams from non-Naga ethnic communities to participate. Special invitations will be extended to security personnel like DGP, IGAR, CRPF, BSF. It was further informed that teams may contact the organizing committee for private coaching.
