Azhalhou Kire from Alder College Kohima today emerged the champion title of the 1st Inter-College Naga Wrestling competition, organized by Alder College Kohima as part its two day Alder Fest 2022.
Kekhriesizo Merhieso of Alder College, Wetilo Wetsa of St. Joseph College and Rokotho Rio of Don Bosco College stood 2nd, 3rd and 4th position respectively.
9 colleges participated in the event.
Alder college administrator Zhapuvi Liegise said that the college has initiated this wrestling competition to promote Naga wrestling.
Mentionably, Alder Fest 2022, which commenced on April 22, concluded today at the college premises.
The festival was marked by spicy noodles eating competition, food stalls, pork fat eating competition, traditional fire making, crossfit competition, 1st Inter-College Naga wrestling competition, Karaoke and live performance by Abdon Mech.
