Kohima, Decemer 27 (MExN): The 1st Kandi Range Mini Olympic under the aegis of Kandi Students’ Union, Ehunnu & Yikhanu Students’ Union and Kandi Sports Association commenced on December 26 at KSU Ground and Ehunnu Ground in Tseminyu District.
Gracing the opening ceremony on December 26, MLA Jwenga Seb said that unity must be top the priority among Rengma community. “Through this mini Olympic, let us come together and join hands for peace and unity,” he said.
Earlier, welcome address was delivered by KSU president Hanjilo Apon while E&YSU general secretary Nathan Kent chaired by the inaugural function.
The closing ceremony will take place on December 30 with Hichulo Semy, principal GHSS Tseminyu as the special guest. The event will be marked by Marathon, athletics, volleyball, football, Badminton, Chess, etc.
