1st open women football league  tournament from June 26

Kohima, June 1 (MExN): The Department of Youth Resources and Sports is organizing the 1st Open Women Football League Tournament from June 26 to July 1 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima. There will be a maximum of 16 teams and therefore, registration will be done on a first come first basis. The players must be bonafide inhabitants of Nagaland. A team may comprise not more than 18 players and two Supporting Staff of which one should be a female and accordingly match allowances will be disbursed Rs 250 per participant.

Apart from team awards, exceptional players will be awarded individual awards and certificates, viz. Player of the Tournament, Highest Scorer, Best Goalkeeper, and Most Promising Player Teams will have to make their logistic arrangements and no TA/DA will be paid except for the match allowances as mentioned above, stated a DIPR report. 
Awards: Winner – Rs 1 lakh with certificates and trophy; Runner Up- Rs 70,000 with certificates and trophy; Semi-Finalists – RS 30,000 each with certificates.

Interested teams/clubs may download the forms and bye-laws by visiting the Department’s website, dyrs.nagaland.gov.in, and submit it on or before June 20 at the Directorate Office, Sports Section during office hours.
