Students during the launch of the 1st round of National Deworming Day 2025 in Zunheboto.

ZUNHEBOTO, FEBRUARY 13 (MExN): Zunheboto district launched the 1st round of National Deworming Day 2025. The campaign will be conducted across schools, Angawadi Centres and health units across the district.
Dr Heto Swu DPO (UIP & RCH) Zunheboto, in his keynote address, stated that the 1st Round of National Deworming Day 2025 will be observed from February 10 to March 10 with mop up round in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and child development and Ministry of School Education.

He stated that mass deworming campaign of children is planned on a fixed day strategy to reduce the harm caused by Soil transmitted helminths (STH).
In the district headquarter, the programme was conducted by the RBSK team in all the schools led by MO (RBSK) Dr Limasenla, who delivered a health talk on the effects of worm infections and highlighted the importance of deworming, hygiene and sanitation.

The RBSK team administered the required dose of albendazole tablet to all the children enrolled in the schools and distributed IEC posters for awareness and preventive measures.
The albendazole tablet will be administered to children from the age group of 1-19 years in all the schools, Angawadi Centres and health units.
