1st session of 14th NLA adjourned sine die

Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Sharingain Longkumer today adjourned the 1st session of the 14th NLA sine die after completing all the assembly business.

The Nagaland Appropriation (No. 1) and (No. 2) Bill, 2023 which was passed today, was moved by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who also holds finance portfolio, for introduction, consideration and passing on the floor of the House.

The Nagaland Appropriation (No. 1) Bill, 2023 was for withdrawal of Rs 1852, 98,80,000 from the consolidated fund of Nagaland state for the financial year 2022-23. This money will be used to pay for various services specified in column (1) of the Schedule during the year ending on March 31, 2023.

Similarly, the Nagaland Appropriation (No. 2) Bill, 2023 was for withdrawal of Rs 23085, 66, 33,000 from and out of the consolidated fund of the state of Nagaland for the financial year 2023-24 towards defraying the several charges which will come in course of payment during the year ending on March 31, 2024, in respect of services specified in column (1) of the schedule.
