1st Team RD Sprint & Autocross held

Niuland, February 27 (MExN):  The 1st Team RD Sprint & Autocross was held in  Vihokhu village in Niuland district from February 23-24, drawing a total of 45 participants. The event featured a cash prize pool of Rs 3,20,000.

In the Open Category, Kamlesh Das of Team MSAM Meghalaya emerged as the champion, while Alem I Jamir (Team AMAM Nagaland) and Chumdemo Shitio (Team Spearhead Nagaland) secured the 2nd and 3rd positions. The category carried a cash prize of Rs 60,000 for the winner, while the 2nd and 3rd placed participants received Rs 40,000 and Rs 20,000, respectively.

David Rhakho of Team RD Nagaland won the ‘Below 1300cc Category,’ while Chumdemo Shitio and Jaki Trang (Team RBMSC Meghalaya) were the 1st and 2nd Runners-Up. The champion received Rs 40,000, while the 2nd and 3rd positions earned Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000.

Andy Mawrie (Meghalaya) emerged as the winner of the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Category, with Team KAMC Nagaland’s Ana Solo securing the second position. Jamir of Team Spearhead Nagaland won the third prize. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places secured cash prizes of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000, and Rs 15,000, respectively.

Banisham Sohtun (Meghalaya) won the Rookie Category, with the 1st Runner-Up being Akolie (Nagaland) and the 2nd Runner-Up being Maputoshi (Team Spearhead Nagaland). The Rookie Category rewarded the winner with Rs 20,000, and the 2nd and 3rd positions with Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, respectively. 

Meanwhile, the ‘Most Promising Driver’ in Memory of Late Neiphre-O Dzuvichu was given to Bijo Awomi.
The ‘Fastest Time’ award in memory of Late Wati Ao was conferred to Team MSAM Meghalaya’s Das.
