1st Winter Open Chess Challenger 2011 concludes 

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 5 (MExN): The Wokha District Chess Association (WDCA), which organized 1st Winter Open Chess Challenger, concluded December 3. The championship, organized by WDCA in collaboration with NCA on the theme “Knit your dreams,” witnessed 14 potential champions fighting for the prestigious Championship Title.
Mr. Kevilikho walked away with the Championship Title followed by Mr. Rogulie, Kahoshe, and Visanyuzo Kuotsu, Nagaland Police as second and third and fourth respectively. The winners of the championship were acknowledged with certificates and cash money- Rs. 10, 000, Rs. 7, 000, Rs. 5, 000 and Rs. 3, 000 respectively.  
Mmhonlumo Kikon, Executive Director, DICE Foundation and Michael Yanthan, General Secretary, Lotha Hoho graced the occasion as Special Guest and Guest of Honour for the Inaugural and Valedictory programmes respectively. It further wished to express its profound gratitude to the Special Guest for his generosity and concern in sponsoring the prizes for the challenger which amounts to Rs. 25, 000/-
 Mr. James Tungoe, WDCA and Mr. Kahoshe Sumi were the match officials for the championship. Lastly, WDCA has acknowledges everyone who took initiative and assisted in the success of the championship.
