The two-day 2nd Dimapur District Chess Championship (DDCC) concluded at Tourists Lodge on December 10. In the open category, Kughaho Kiho emerged champion while Khoveto Vero, Salhuto Nyekha, Akaho Achumi and Pikuto Chishi bagged 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively. In under-14 category, Jesse Chishi emerged champion and Jitihto Nyekha, Gihuka Chishi, Hukato Jakhalu and Pratyush Jha bagged 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th respectively. Vikibe Roy won the best under-14 category while the Best Veteran Player was awarded to SI Toshi Ao and Ketsokienou Üsou bagged the Best Female Player. (Photo Courtesy: DDCC)
