Dimapur, September 10 (MExN):  A fire was reported at Padumpukhuri Lane-1 in Dimapur on September 10.

According to the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES), Nagaland, two Kutcha houses along with property worth nearly 15 lakh were destroyed in the fire.

A fire call was received at 11:07 am on Thursday after which Emergency Services mobilized a quick response team from Fire Station Dimapur (Central) to control the fire.

While the houses and property were destroyed, due to timely response, properties worth over Rs 30 lakh could be salvaged and the fire personnel prevented the fire from spreading, the report said.

There was no casualty reported from the fire which is suspected to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
