
DIMAPUR, MARCH 20 (MExN): Two unidentified bodies were discovered in Dimapur within a span of two days. On March 19 at around 6:00 AM, a female body was found on the footpath near Baroda Bank ATM Booth, opposite the CP Office. The deceased, believed to be between 45 and 50 years old, was suspected to be a street beggar who may have died due to starvation.
Dimapur Police conducted an inquest and moved the body to the District Hospital Dimapur Morgue for post-mortem examination and further identification. The deceased was wearing a black and red Adidas jacket, a red sacred thread on her left wrist, two faded silver bangles on her right wrist, a black thread around her left ankle, and navy blue long pants.
The following day, on March 20, at around 1:01 PM, a male body was discovered near Khatkhati at KM 261/8-9, suspected to have been run over by a train. The male, aged approximately 50-55 years, was found lying on the railway tracks. After completing legal procedures, the body was also moved to the District Hospital Morgue for post-mortem and identification. The deceased was wearing a black long pant, black half pant, coffee-colored underwear, a maroon sweater, a red and black striped shirt, and a waist belt.
