Dimapur, August 29 (MExN): On Sunday at around 0230 hrs, a written railway memo from Station Manager, NFR Dimapur was received at GRPS Dimapur that two unidentified persons were laying dead in between DMR-RXR section over KM 257/6-7 at Railway Station, Dimapur.
Accordingly, the duty party rushed to the PO site and found two unidentified persons (non-local male) both lying dead inside and outside at the railway track.
“It is highly suspected that the two deceased were run over by a running train. During the inquest, the dead bodies were thoroughly checked, to establish the identities but no any identification cards or mobile phones were found. On completion of all legal formalities the dead body has been shifted to District Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination and identification,” Dimapur Police stated in a press release.
One of the deceased was wearing black T-shirt while the other was wearing black half pant and white vest. Claimant/relatives/friends of the deceased are requested to contact the Officer-in-Charge, GRPS, Dimapur @7085055021.
