Dimapur, January 2 (MExN): The troops of 20 Assam Rifles under HQ 5 Sector Assam Rifles of IGARN (N) intercepted a speeding TATA Mobile vehicle registered No NL-07-2552 on the way to Kohima from Dimapur at 7:30 pm on December 28, 2010 at Ghaspani on NH-29.
On search of the TATA Mobile vehicle, 207 cases of liquor which included nine cases of Bagpiper Whisky, 93 cases of MC Dowell’s Rum, four cases of King Fisher Strong Beer, four cases of beer Tuborg Strong, one case of Master 9000 beer, 36 cases of He-Man 9000 beer, 24 cases of MC Dowell’s Whisky, four cases of Blenders Pride Whisky, 23 cases of Thunder 10000 beer, nine cases of MC Dowell’s Whisky (Half) with an approximate value of ` 3,27,000 in the local market, informed the AR in a press note issued by Lt Col RP Velu, PRO, IGAR (N).
It stated that the apprehended individual with the recovered consignment was handed over to Police Station, Medziphema.
