DIMAPUR, JUNE 4 (MExN): Former Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president K Therie congratulated the people of Nagaland for the decisive and conscious vote leading to the win of INC candidate Supongmeren Jamir.
“The verdict is historic for defeating the opposition-less Govt. The people have shown that they do not subscribe to the idea of Christian oppression. The people have proven that intimidation with power can be defied. The people also have shown that nothing can sway faith,” Therie said in a press statement.
Also thanking the congressmen and women, Therie said, “You are the trunk of the Congress. I hope the victory will lead the people of Nagaland to a new chapter.” The former NPCC president congratulated INC candidate for the historic win and wished him all the best.
