20th ABPF conference held at Kumlong Baptist Church

The 20th Ao Baptist Pastor Fellowship (ABPF) conference which commenced from April 21 culminated today at Kumlong Baptist Church here today which was attended by pastors from 126 Ao Baptist churches from all over the state.  

The conference which was held on the theme, ‘Zungkumshidi’ (roughly translated as revitalize) was attended by 157 delegates and the main speakers were Rev Dr Wati Aier (principal OTS), Rev Bendangmeren of Kohima Ao Baptist Church, Rev Dr Mar Pongen (Principal CTC) and Rev Maong Lemtur of Dimapur Ao Baptist Church.  

On the last service held on Sunday evening, Rev Maong Lemtur, Associate Pastor DABA, who was the main speaker, challenged congregation to be led by the Holy Spirit so that they can better serve the Lord. He also said that though one might face a lot of troubles and even humiliation while serving the Lord, yet one should bear all the troubles and should wholeheartedly serve the Lord with one’s whole heart. He also encouraged the gathered pastors to be focused in their ministry, to read the Bible and accept it as the truth and the Word of God and serve the Lord for His glory.  

Meanwhile, a new team of office bearers was also nominated during the conference. The ABPF will be led by Lipok Jamir (pastor of Diphupar Ao Baptist Church) as chairman; Dr Akok Amer (pastor, Mangkolemba Baptist Church) as vice-chairman and I Kilen Longchar (pastor, Sungratsu Baptist Church) as Correspondence secretary.  

The pastors from Jangpetkong range also presented a special number. The conference ended with a Lord’s Supper.
