Kohima, November 15 (MExN): A special camp to facilitate the settlement of unclaimed financial assets for citizens was held at the DC's conference hall, Kohima on November 14 as part of the central government's nationwide campaign ‘Your Money, Your Right.’
The campaign, launched by the Finance Minister on October 4, is a three-month initiative (October-December 2025) aimed at helping citizens trace and claim unclaimed assets, including bank deposits, insurance proceeds, mutual funds, dividends, and shares.
Today's camp was organized to ensure efficient and faster settlement of these funds to beneficiaries and claimants in the region, stated a DIPR report.
According to the report, since the campaign's launch on October 4, a total of 21 accounts in Kohima district have been settled, amounting to Rs. 18,74,656.
The event was attended by senior officials including S Nekhini, General Manager (O-I-C) of RBI, Kohima; Rorheu Peseyie, SDO Civil, Kohima; K. Samuel, AGM, LDO of RBI, Kohima; Chitebuni Kricho, DDM, NABARD, Kohima; and Temsumeren, Lead District Manager, Kohima.
Eight banks - State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, IDBI, Federal Bank, Axis Bank, Nagaland Rural Bank, and Nagaland State Cooperative Bank, participated in the camp, along with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
