The 21st Livestock Census 2024 for Kohima district was launched today at CVO Conference Hall, Kohima. It was officially launched by Dr. Wopanthung Ezung, Chief, A.H & Veterinary Services Officer Kohima in the presence of the department officials and census personnel.

This Livestock Census 2024 aim at enhancing livestock management in the state and the district in particular. The Census, which is conducted every five years to collect vital data on various livestock involving trained supervisors and enumerators visiting every household in the district.  Dr Ketholenuo Metha, District Nodal Officer (DNO) chaired the launching programme.

The programme concluded with the distribution of census logistics to the census personnel. This census process will continue over the next few months, with strong community engagement.
