Mhakenyi Kro-u FC and Morning Football Association today registered wins in the respective matches at the ongoing 21st NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2021 here at Indira Gandhi Stadium, organized by Angami Students’ Union.
Mhakenyi Kro-u FC blanked Capital College of Higher Education 11-0 in the first match of the day.
Zawlthanglien opened the account for Mhakenyi Kro-u FC in the 8th minute. Yhunshalo scored seven goals, who registered the first double hat-trick in the tournament. Vekruto, Lalminlun and Nguaslie also contributed a goal each for the team.
Morning Football Association defeated 12 United Tribe FC 4-1 via tie-break in the second match. Both the team locked in a 2-2 draw till the final whistle.
Seyiekhrietuo Suohu netted both the goal for MFA in the 35th and 65th minute while equalizer for Morning Football Association came through Nahngon Konyak.
The match was decided through a tie-break, wherein Morning Football Association emerged victorious against rival 12 United Tribe FC 4-1.
