After weeks of uncertainty as to whether polls to the Nagaland State Assembly would be held, 22 candidates today filed their nominations for the upcoming polls. Chief Electoral Officer Abhijit Sinha today informed that as of February 6, altogether 22 candidates have filed their nomination papers so far. Five districts have not registered any nominations till date. They include Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, Peren and Mokokchung. It may be noted that the last date for the filing of nominations is February 7.
