Registering win in their respective match, Medziphema Royal FC and Patkai Christian College today entered the second round of the ongoing 23rd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2023 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima under the theme ‘Goal for Peace.’
Medziphema Royal- 3, Fixate FC-1
Medziphema Royal FC downed Fixate FC 3-1 in the first match.
Visalie Mezhü connected the first goal for Medziphema Royal FC in the early 2nd minute.
Mangal Gurung increased the score tally in the 5th minute while Seiminthang added another goal for the team.
A lone goal for Fixate FC came through Shamba Samson.
Mangal Gurung and Rokolhoukho of Medziphema Royal FC and Along Daniel and Jenpu Kent of Fixate FC were cautioned for their unsporting behaviour.
Visalie Mezhü has been declared as the Man of the Match.
Patkai CC- 4, Pro-D FC -0
Patkai Christian College defeated Pro-D FC 4-0 in the second match.
Enebe Thopi opened the account for Patkai Christian College in the 13th minute and later connected second goal in the 73rd minute.
Lengpan Konyak added another goal for the team in the 32nd minute.
Earlier, Patkai CC gained another goal after Akito A Yeptho of Pro-D FC resulted own goal in the 10th minute.
Ningpao Khiam of PCC was sent off in the 70th minute for foul play.
Zeks Mere of Pro-D FC was cautioned for his unsporting behaviour.
Enebe Thopi bagged the Man of the Match title.
