Kohima | October 13
A two day long 3rd Inter-Department Badminton Tournament (Kohima Edition 2023) under the aegis of Inter-Department Badminton Club (IDBC) Kohima commenced today at Nagaland’s Legislative Assembly (NLA) multi-purpose hall, Kohima.
Altogether, 116 participants from 24 departments joined the tournament.
They will vie for coveted champion titles in Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles and 50+, legislators, ex-legislators & retirees categories.
Bendang Jamir, a 78-year-old international player, is the oldest participant.
Gracing the inaugural function, Vyasan R, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, thanked IDBC Kohima for organizing the tournament.
He extended best wishes to all the players.
The inaugural function was chaired by Kelhikha Kenye while Shanavas C, president IDBC delivered welcome address.
Keneiselhou Solo, pastor ACRC invoked God’s blessings. The tournament will conclude on October 14.
