Kohima, July 20 (MExN): The 24th Angetyongpang Independent party A/C leaders had a joint meeting with all the units on July 20 in Mokokchung.
The meeting, according to a release received here, expressed “shock and annoyance to hear the news that PDA Government is going to strip Road & Bridges Department from Tongpang Ozukum, Minister PWD. It is utterly unfair and unjustified considering the contribution of Tongpang Ozukum during the formation of PDA Government in 2018. It should also be reminded or remembered that during the two MP (Lokh Sabha) elections, Angetyongpang A/C has delivered the best performance under the dynamic leadership of our Minister Tongpang Ozukum.”
The Independent Party 24th Angetyongpang A/C strongly appealed to Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, PDA Chairman and Co-Chairman to retain Road & Bridges department with Tongpang Ozukum “since it was through this commitment and assurance that he has supported the PDA coalition to form the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly otherwise it would have been a ‘Hung Assembly.”
The Independent Party 24th Angetyongpang A/C also resolutely declared that the party, from the grassroot level to the top party leadership is firmly behind Tongpang Ozukum.
His works as Minister PWD during the past one year attest to his enthusiasm and capability as a promising upcoming Naga leader, the release stated adding that the party on behalf of all the sympathizers of Tongpang Ozukum, under 24th Angetyongpang A/C declared that “we will stand firm by our leader in any situation or decision that our leader takes with regard to the state political issue and will unequivocally support him now and even in the days to come.”
The declaration unanimously endorsed by Imdongienba, president Chuchu Town Unit, Talimoa, president Salulamang Unit, Lanusanen president Mongsenyimti Unit, Ato Chingmak, president Old Yaongyimti Unit, Imtilemba, president New Yaongyimti Unit, Imtuba, president Phangsang Unit, Changlemba, president Chakpa Unit, Imlikumzuk, president Longkong Unit, Nukshikaba, president, Longmisa Unit, Sosangchiba, president, Sungkomen Unit, Moameren, president, Tongdentsuyong Unit and Sentiyamger, president Alempang Unit.
