Deja Vu Edition FC and Naga Jaguars FC today secured their quarter final berths after winning their respective matches at the ongoing 24th Classic Cup here under the aegis of Classic Club.
In the first match of the day, Deja Vu Edition FC trounced Kohima Bible College 5-0. Yhunshalo scored the first goal for Deja Vu Edition FC in the 32nd minute. Vekhruto Resu increased the score tally in the 43rd minute. The teams gained two successive goals through Khangadar in the 51st and 53rd minute.
Later, Deja Vu Edition FC confirmed their 5-0 victory against the opponent after Vekhruto Resu netted his second goal in the 61st minute.
Meanwhile, Naga Jaguars FC defeated Samaritan FC 3-0 and qualified for the quarter finals. Kelvin Kappo opened the account for Naga Jaguars FC in the 5th minute of the match. Efurang Zeliang scored two more goals for Naga Jaguars FC in the 50th and 55th minute.
Naga Jaguars FC will now clash with Deja Vu Edition FC in the quarter finals on November 12.
