DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 2 (MExN): On the last day of the group stages in the 25th Loyem Memorial Senior Soccer Open Championship 2017, 3rd NAP Battalion earned 3 points resulting out of a walk out by Upper Defence Chingmelen FC on November 2.
The second match played between Donching Yangmei FC A and Lungdon FC ended in a goalless draw. Lungdon FC missed several opportunities in the first half and in the second half Lungdon FC missed a golden opportunity to convert a goal after they were awarded a penalty kick. The kick was deflected by goalkeeper Naset Chang, denying a much needed goal for Lungdon FC which could have sealed their spot for the quarterfinal playoff. With this draw Donching Yangmei FC are through to the quarterfinal playoff.
