Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): Excise Narcotic Cell personnel in Dimapur arrested and penalized a total of 26 persons under relevant sections of the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition Act (NLTP), 1989, from June 25 to 30.
This was informed in a press release from the Deputy Commissioner of Excise (NC), S Chanlei Angh on July 3.
As per the release, the Narcotic Cell duty personnel under the command of AIE Kenzeu, AIE Chuba and AIE Tovika conducted surprise checking of hotels and booze joints in different pockets of Dimapur from June 25 to 30. During the raid, a total of 593 bottles of assorted liquor were recovered and 26 accused persons were arrested and penalized under relevant sections of the NLTP Act, 1989, the release stated.
