Twenty seven persons were injured in a bus accident this morning at around 7:40 AM near Tsiesema in Kohima district. They were travelling in Tuensang night bus, going towards Dimapur when it met accident along Tsiesema- Peducha road. According to police, 27 injured persons were admitted to Naga Hospital Kohima and KOHIMAS. There were reports of some serious injuries. The driver and handyman are now in police custody, police said.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, it was informed. It is learnt that there were around 45 passengers in the bus. Meanwhile, Nagaland's higher Education and Tribal Affairs Minister, Temjen Imna Along paid visit to injured persons at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima on Sunday and wished for speedy recovery of those injured.
