27th Loyem Memorial Trophy: Hügel Hifler, DEF Tuensang win

Tuensang, October 18 (MExN): Hügel Hifler Senior and DEF Tuensang today won their respective matches in the ongoing 27th Loyem Memorial Trophy in Tuensang. 

In the first match of the day, Hügel Hifler (Sr) made a remarkably comeback to beat Skipper Young FC 3-1.

Skipper Young’s Puchai (13) scored the first goal of the match and managed hold on to the lead till the first half. 

However, in the second half, Hifler bounced back strongly, cancelling out the deficit and scoring to other goals to win the match. 

Hopong (22), Bemolemba (10) and Lemba (9) were the goal scorers for Hifler in the 46th, 49th and 58th minute respectively.

DEF Tuensang reigned supreme from start to finish trouncing Laiket Lembou Seadogs by 9 goals in the second match of the day. 

The leading scorer for DEF was John (4), who netted four goals. His teammate Yemjong (11) added two to the tally, while Natoba, Pongjai and Meren share one each.
